Coachmans Crossing in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg needed a facelift. With Mugg & Bean leaving the centre and Woolworths moving in it was time to give the old lady a make-over. The end result is a nice modern look and feel. The scope of works was the demolition and additions for the new tenant which included goods lift, goods receiving area and coffee shop. The rest of the centre was upgraded during live trading which was a serious challenge as H&S had to be watched closely particularly with the tunnel access into the PnP store, and collaboration with centre management and tenants was critical – flexibility becomes critical as plans change daily.
