Chairman

A founding member of Washirika Design Build, comes with a long line of experience in both the corporate sector and entrepreneurial space. He has brought structures and systems into the business and continues to lead the board of directors as chairman pushing the strategic agenda required of his position.
Gavin Morrow
CEO

Gavin, a founding member of 3 Oaks, has nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of the construction industry - from starting the fledgling company that it was to its current form. His previous experience in the finance industry played an important part in ensuring the company was built on solid financial principles, while tapping into his love for anything concrete and building design that stretches the limits.
Sean Roberts
Director of Design & Build and Development

Sean, a founding member of 3 Oaks, has nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of the construction industry.  He currently heads up the Design & Build division, whilst also focusing on growing the company’s property portfolio.
Chris Jiyane
Non-Executive Director

With 30 plus years as a construction industry practitioner, Chris brings key experience, board expertise and governance to the board of directors. Coupled with that his experience as a Growth Strategist, Managing Key Relationships and Stakeholder expert he compliments the existing team at W3O.

Hans Bodemer
Commercial Director

Hans started his career with CES before moving to 3 Oaks as a junior QS where he has progressed through the ranks to head up the department. He is responsible for the overall Commercial aspects of the organisation.
Trevor Hill
Western Cape Director

Trevor has a National Diploma in Architectural Technology from the Witwatersrand Technikon and over 20 years of experience in design, construction, procurement and project management. Trevor’s international and local experience is combined to bring a planned and ordered approach to your project.

Wayne has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and industrial relations management and is an Associate Director of the company.

Karabo Pitseng
Civils Division Manager

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Karabo brings a wealth of expertise in project estimating, project coordination, relationship building, and civil construction. His strengths lie in his ability to build strong and lasting relationships and the belief that collaboration and open communication are essential for achieving outstanding results. By fostering a culture of teamwork and positive relationships with stakeholders, Karabo has consistently achieved exceptional outcomes for both clients and colleagues in the past.
Thando Mbhele
Health and Safety Manager

Thando started his career in 2006 when he joined Basil Read as a document controller while working on the Chris Hani Baragwanath Main Entrance building. Through his onsite interactions he developed a passion for HSE and has since dedicated well over 14 years’ of his life towards the implementation, management and improvement of the HSE Profession.
Tim Scholtz
Business Development Manager

After graduating from UCT with a BSc Honours in Property Studies, Tim began his career in property rentals and management (residential and commercial) before transitioning to redecoration and construction, where he developed a passion for large-scale projects. His career then shifted toward Business Development, where he strengthened his love for construction. Tim brings a strong network of clients and professionals who have supported him throughout his journey. At W3O, he leads the New Business department, aiming to expand the company’s presence in Cape Town and Gauteng, while also contributing to strategy planning and social media content creation.
Jackie Barnett
Quality Manager

Jackie, is a proven Quality Manager who is rich in diverse experience. Results orientated with expertise in implementation of ISO 9001 compliant systems, root cause analysis and ability to maintain and improve production efficiency all while still ensuring that the group Quality standards are met and exceeded. Jackie has a National Diploma in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. Before joining W3O, Jackie was the Quality Engineer for Group Five Western Cape.
Rudi Van Der Westhuizen
Chief Quantity Surveyor

With over fifteen years of experience in the residential, commercial, industrial, retail and healthcare construction sectors as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Estimator I have successfully managed various projects from R3mil to R850mil. I have been involved in various dynamic companies from developers to main contractors where I have gain experience and a wealth of knowledge in all commercial aspects of the construction industry. The projects that I have been involved in ranges from 20,000m2 warehousing, new hospitals, new shopping centres, renovations of existing building, new residential developments and multi storey office buildings.
Brad Watts
Projects Division Manager

Brad began his Construction career in 2007, starting and running his own business for 15 years, primarily in the Residential construction space, ranging from New builds to Alterations and Additions / Renovations. Recently he joined Washirika 3 Oaks to start a business unit focusing on the above, with the inclusion of small Commercial works.

Contracts Manager

Contracts/Project Manager with more than 25 years experience, working in the Construction, Rail, Hospitality & Health industry. Managed contracts of a value of R416 million (2015) Highly skilled in construction, earthworks, concrete, contractors, rail and bridge. Strong operations professional who excels at managing large-scale projects & assisting organisations to reach their strategic objectives. Delene Pather
Company Secretary & Financial Manager

With over 10 years of experience in finance, including more than 7 years in the construction industry, Delene Pather has built a strong career in financial management and corporate governance. Starting as a junior accountant while completing her Post Graduate Degree in Financial Management in 2017, Delene’s extensive knowledge and expertise in construction finance have seen her rise to lead W3O’s finance department, overseeing the daily operations across all branches. As Company Secretary, Delene ensures corporate governance and compliance, managing company and trust registrations, amendments, and meticulous compliance checks for Annual Returns. Her responsibilities also include overseeing tax, VAT, UIF, PAYE, SDL, maintaining company registers, and preparing Board packs, ensuring smooth and compliant operations at W3O.
Tyler van Zyl
Chief Quantity Surveyor

Tyler van Zyl brings over 8 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong foundation in Quantity Surveying. He holds a BTech in Quantity Surveying, completed in 2018, and has worked with prestigious Professional Quantity Surveying firms, gaining extensive hands-on experience across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. Since joining W3O’s Cape Office in 2021 as a Quantity Surveyor, Tyler has taken on full responsibility for quantity surveying within the business. His expertise and leadership quickly earned him the position of Head of Quantity Surveying & Estimating for the Cape region. In this role, Tyler continues to drive success and growth for W3O, while maintaining strong, valued relationships with clients and industry professionals. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence are key to the department’s ongoing achievements.
Sharl Du Plessis
Contracts Manager

Sharl Du Plessis is a highly experienced Contracts Manager with over 18 years of expertise in the construction industry. He specializes in Building and Civil works, Construction Management, Project Leadership, and adherence to Building Standards and Codes. Sharl has successfully managed a wide range of projects, including Residential, Healthcare, Industrial, and large-scale Commercial developments, consistently delivering ahead of schedule and under budget. With a strong background in contract management, Sharl provides specialist advice on complex, high-risk contracts and leads the development of innovative procurement strategies. His ability to oversee multiple project aspects while ensuring seamless execution is a testament to his leadership and operational expertise. Sharl is a graduate of Hoërskool Erasmus and is skilled in project planning, management, and driving results that align with W3O’s strategic vision.
Danie Strooh
Contracts Manager

With 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Danie Strooh is a highly skilled Contracts Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and healthcare developments. Danie combines practical experience with in-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and procedures, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively from a contractual standpoint. Danie is committed to building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and professionals involved in each project, ensuring smooth collaboration and project success. He holds a B-Tech Degree in Construction Management from Technikon Pretoria (TUT), completed in 2001, and is a Registered Professional Construction Manager with SACPCMP (Pr. CM), Registration number: C/1620/2021. Danie’s expertise and leadership have made him a key asset to W3O’s continued growth and operational excellence.

Group Financial Reporter

Claudi Bodemer is responsible for Group Financial Reporting, which involves preparing comprehensive financial statements that provide a clear view of the financial results, position, and cash flows across a group of entities or business activities. This reporting process is essential for decision-making as it offers valuable insights into the company’s economic health over specific periods, helping guide future strategies and ensuring informed financial management.
