This 2000sqm addition to the existing hospital was a first of its kind in Mpumalanga, building the first private Burns Unit in the province.
Additionally a further 20 bed Paediatric and Adult ICU was added on the second floor to make up the 26 bed expansion.
The biggest challenge was working in a live environment on top of an existing Neonatal ICU during the rainy season but the team managed this and other complexities with professionalism.
The project took 10 months to complete and PC was achieved on time.
